Support

Living and working somewhere new is a big step. You will be given help and support for everything from getting a visa to arriving in the UK and finding somewhere to live

Visas
To come to the UK on the UK/China Graduate Work Experience Programme, you need to apply for a visa. Information about visas for the UK, details of how to apply and a copy of the application form you will need to use to apply are available on the Britain in China website

If you have any questions about your visa application, please contact us at ukchinagrad@hobsons.co.uk

Travel
Your flights to the UK will be arranged by the programme by the China Scholarship Council.

Arriving in the UK
When you arrive in the UK, you will spend your first two weeks attending an orientation programme at a UK university. This programme will give you an introduction to UK culture and the business environment you will be working in.

During this time, you will be introduced to your employer, and will also meet the other graduates taking part in the programme, as well as having the opportunity to meet British students.

You will have access to the university's facilities throughout the period of your internship.
