How much does it cost to apply?
The application fee for the UK-China Graduate Work Experience Programme is 500 RMB. This should be transferred electronically to the China Scholarship Council - details are available at www.csc.edu.cn.
What costs are covered by the Programme?
The Programme will cover the cost of travel to the UK, and the cost of your visa. The cost of the orientation programme and accommodation and food during this time will also be covered by the Programme.
How much money would I need to take to the UK?
The salary you will be paid in the UK will be enough to cover your living costs while on the Programme. However, as salaries are usually paid monthly in the UK, it may be up to one month after you start working before you are paid.
To cover the cost of the accommodation deposit and living costs until you get paid, you should bring approximately £1,500 with you when you come to the UK.
